ADHD Assessment

What to expect?

We strive to make the assessment journey as clear, supportive, and effective as possible.

Step 1: Pre-Assessment Screening
Once your initial appointment is scheduled, you'll receive questionnaires to complete. These help us understand your (or your child’s) symptoms and experiences. It is recommended that you ask someone who knows you well—such as a parent, teacher, or partner—to complete a questionnaire to provide additional insights.

Step 2: Pre-Assessment Consultation
A 60-minute psychological evaluation is conducted to explore ADHD symptoms and their impact on daily life. The purpose of this session is to gather information to inform whether there is sufficient evidence to warrant a full assessment, or alternatively we can discuss other options that may be relevant.

Step 3: Diagnostic Interview
•    For ADHD: A DIVA interview (90–120 minutes) assesses how ADHD symptoms affect different areas of life, including school, work, and relationships.

Step 4: Objective Testing
A 15–20 minute computer-based test (QbCheck) is completed to measure attention, impulsivity, and hyperactivity levels, providing objective data to support the diagnosis.

Step 5: Feedback Session
Following the assessment, a 50-minute feedback session will be held to discuss findings, diagnosis (if applicable), and next steps.

Step 6: Outcome Letter & Final Report
•    Following the feedback session, you’ll receive a summary letter outlining the key results.
•    A detailed final report will follow within 4–8 weeks, including recommendations for work, school, or daily life strategies.

Post-Diagnostic Support
We understand that a diagnosis is just the beginning. Our team offers ongoing support to help individuals navigate life with ADHD and build strategies for success.
